Like Marc Cohn, Lyle Lovett and Bonnie Raitt, Big Hands Colvin’s musical style is difficult to define—a little bit blues, a little bit country, a little bit soul. Whether he’s songwriting, singing, playing sax or guitar—Big Hands is a big talent.
Formerly a frontman for the Central-Coast-of-California-based, Big Daddy’s Rhythm & Blues Band, Colvin has played with or opened for a number of well-known artists including: Tom Scott, Jesse Colin Young, Johhny Winter Geoff Muldaur and Nelson Braxton. Big Hands Colvin has also toured extensively as a member of the Cardiff Reefers, Rock Steady Posse and Eric Ellsworth Band. He is a professional songwriter with an impressive collection of solid originals—and the voice to compete with anyone in the genre. He and his wife live in Northern Washington State. Colvin is presently in the studio working on his next project. |
