HARRY ALMA, (Born Henry George Alma McLaren) son of George McLaren and grandson of classical musician and Yehudi Menuhin pupil, Henry Alma Cassell. This somewhat reclusive former frontman of radical Scottish funk band Paterson's Volunteers, disappeared from public view for a number of years. Apparently, time spent travelling the world and flying sailplanes. He now emerges as a master of understated cool. No "bling" here, just chilled high quality grooves with a very distinctive vocal. Music for fun loving thinkers. When asked what had prompted this musical transformation, Harry replied; "Experiences like being held at gunpoint in the Argentinian Rainforest present two choices..... Freak out or Chill out. I opted for the latter". Perhaps it's no surprise that the new album is entitled "THE ALTERNATIVE TRIP"
Panamahat.
